About the Studio
We have 25 members who pursue our love of clay in a creative and supportive artist-run space. Formed in 2003, ClayWorks has continued to thrive and evolve with its diverse membership. ClayWorks artists show their individually distinctive work in our own gallery as well as in galleries across Ottawa and Canada, and sometimes internationally. Several members have won awards for their work.
Our Passion
Pottery classes are offered on Teaching Tuesdays, with four sessions each year where students learn basic and advanced pottery skills. Private lessons are also availablebuilding increasingly dedicated to artists and artisans working in a variety of media. We are open to the public during our fall Open House, spring participation in Doors Open Ottawa and other community events.

Test Artist3
Featured ArtistAs a clay artist and with a background in interior designer, I enjoy creating hand built functional and non-functional decorative pieces and sculptural work. I am drawn to the use of hand made stamps and carving to embellish my clay surfaces, and I use oxides, under glazes, and glaze layering to accentuate these textures. I also enjoy making small sculptures of animals and whimsical characters. I have a special interest in Raku, and enjoy participating in Raku firings any chance I get!
I have had pieces accepted in the Ottawa Guild of Potters juried exhibitions for 2016, 2017, and 2018 and in the 2017 Fireworks Fusion Clay and Glass Bi-annual Exhibition. I was the recipient of the Ottawa Guild Of Potters Best Expression Award in 2016.
